A Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Installing Roman shades is simple and can be completed in about 20–30 minutes with basic tools. Follow the steps below for a smooth and secure installation.

Step 1: Choose Mounting Style
Roman shades can be installed in two ways:

Inside Mount – Installed inside the window frame for a clean, tailored look
-
Outside Mount – Installed above the window frame for maximum coverage

Step 2: Mark Bracket Positions
Inside Mount

Position brackets inside the window frame
-
Place them about 2–3 inches from each side

Make sure brackets are level
Outside Mount
-
Position brackets above the window frame
-
Align evenly with the window edges
-
Use a level to ensure straight installation

Step 3: Install the Brackets

Drill pilot holes if necessary
-
Secure brackets using provided screws
-
Double-check that brackets are firmly attached

Step 4: Attach the Roman Shade

Align the headrail with the brackets
-
Snap or slide the shade into place (you should hear or feel a click)

Gently tug down to confirm it’s secure

Step 5: Test and Adjust

Pull the cord or operate the control mechanism

Raise and lower the shade a few times
-
Adjust alignment if needed

Step 6: Install the Valance (Optional)

Attach the valance to the front of the headrail
-
Press firmly until it snaps into place
