How Do I Measure for an Outside-Mount Roman Shade?

For window frames with a depth of less than 2":

  • Measure the full window width, including the moulding, then add ½ inch.
  • Measure the full window height, including the moulding, then add 3 inches.
Do I Need to Subtract ⅜ Inch for an Inside Mount?

Yes. For a window casing width of 40", order a shade width of 39⅝" by subtracting ⅜" from the measured width.

How should I adjust the width for an inside mount?

For a manually measured inside mount, subtract 3/8 inch from the smallest opening width before entering your order width. Do not subtract from the height.

What Minimum Window Depth Is Required for an Inside Mount?

For window depths at least 2.5"
